I believe in assuming competence
and actively helping
children thrive.
As the founder and lead advocate of Capable Kids, my passion for special education advocacy comes from a deeply personal place. As a parent of a child with disabilities, I've walked the same path you're on now. I know the challenges, the victories, and all the emotions in between that come with navigating the educational landscape for our kids. My own experiences fuel my dedication, and I am committed to ensuring that other families on similar journeys get the support and guidance they need.
More than just an advocate, I strive to be a compassionate ally. My unique perspective as both a parent and a trained advocate allows me to approach each case with a blend of professional expertise and heartfelt empathy to every family I have the privilege to work with. I’m here to help, and I’m with you every step of the way.
Prior to shifting my focus to advocacy, I spent over 15 years in the business world, 10 of which serving as Director of Marketing for an international non-profit. In addition to my first-hand experience advocating for my own family and others, I am also a SEAT 1.0 graduate through the Council of Parent Advocates and Attorneys (COPAA). COPAA is a national organization committed to increasing the quality and quantity of special education advocates and attorneys, and creating a level playing field to ensure children with disabilities receive a meaningful, challenging education.
